Why Booking Direct Saves You More Than You Think
A recent guest rebooked through Booking.com and paid $30 a night more — simply because he didn't know there was another way. There is.

Not long ago, a guest we were delighted to see again booked his return stay through Booking.com. He paid around thirty dollars a night more than he needed to. When we mentioned it at check-in, he was surprised — he simply hadn't realised booking direct was an option, let alone a cheaper one.
He extended his stay on the spot, direct, and told us he'd never go through a travel site for BethsAida again. We think about that conversation a lot, because he is not unusual. The travel sites are good at making themselves look like the only door. They are not.
When you book directly with us, the rate is lower — the commission the OTAs charge simply isn't in the price. This summer, a direct booking also takes 18% off the rack rate automatically. Our signature Runway View Suites aren't listed on the travel sites at all; the best rooms in the house are kept for guests who come to us directly.
Beyond the money, booking direct means dealing with a real person on WhatsApp rather than a call center, flexible and human cancellation terms, and the freedom to ask for the room and the view you want. The door is right here on this website. It's cheaper, and it's friendlier. Use it.
